Collision Damage Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is not insurance. The rental location requires CDW-TP protection unless you present written proof that the credit card provides CDW-TP protection in Ecuador. If you purchase CDW-TP, we agree, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW-TP, to contractually waive your responsibility for the cost of damage to or theft of the vehicle, after the deductible of up to the $2,500 USD deductible, depending on car class. CDW-TP will not cover damage to tires. CDW-TP is inclucded in the National Protection Package (NPP).

Deductible Protection (DP)
Deductible Protection (DP) may be purchased as an additional protection with CDW-TP, which removes responsibility for deductible amount in the event of an accident and damage of rental vehicle, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate DP. DP is included in the National Protection Package (NPP).

Third Party Liability
Third Party Liability (TPL) protection is required by the rental company, unless National Protection Package with Deductible (NPPD) is purchased. Customers can obtain coverage for damages and injuries to third parties, up to the policy limits, under the local rental car company/s insurance by purchasing its TPL protection. TPL coverage is subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) The purchase of personal accident insurance is only available at the rental counter and not required to rent a vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance covers ambulance service, doctors, hospitalization and nurses for each passenger in the rental vehicle, up to a maximum number allowed, with a maximum limit of $5,000 per person.

Roadside Assistance Proctection
Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) If selected and paid for at the time of rental, Roadside Assistance is available 24/7 without additional charges.
RAP includes towing, flat tire service and lockout service. Jumpstarts and fuel delivery service for up to 5 gallons (or equibalent liters) of fuel is also provided. Tire damage beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.

Additional Protection
National Protection Package (NPP) is a package product which includes Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection (CDW-TP), Deductible Protection (DP) and Third Party Liability (TPL) at a discounted price. NPP is not insurance. If you purchase NPP, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss or theft of the vehicle, and up to the policy limts for damages and injuries to third parties during the rental period in Ecuador, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

Additional Driver
All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements.
Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement.
An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers.
The additonal driver can only be added to the contract at the pick up location.

One-way rentals
All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. One way charges cannot be prepaid.
Renter Requirement
Drivers must meet the location's minimum age requirement.
A valid driver's license from the customer's country of residence is required and must be presented at the time of rental.
Present a major credit card in the renter's name at the time of rental.
International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin, an International drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.
Payment Policy
A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

An authorzation on the customer's credit card will be taken on all rentals in the amount of $2,500 USD in addition to the full cost fo the rental will be taken at the time of pickup. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of the vehicle, late charges or citations incurred during the rental of the vehicle.
Debit/Check cards are not accepted at the locations. Debit/Check cards are considered to be any non-creidt card with the American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club® logo.
Cash is only accepted at this location as a form of final payment.
Refueling Policy
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.
Option 1 - Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.
Optionl 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 50% surcharges will apply.
Option 3 - You refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.
